Recent threads have reminded me that Camp has gotten to the point where it has characters that Phoenix would actually recognize! As a reasonably geeky guy who was in high school from 2006-2010, I figure he's seen most of the major geek movies from the era (Star Trek XI, Iron Man, etc.) as well as the sequels, due to the hilarity of him being from the future. Obviously he can't spoil people re: said sequels due to them not existing yet, but he might make the occasional vague reference for the lulz. He's probably also familiar with a good portion of American mainstream TV. (I'd throw in a bit of tokusatsu knowledge due to the pseudo-Japanese-ness of the PW universe, except I know exactly nothing about any of that.)

So, uh. Please comment here if either a) you have a character from Western media you'd like Nick to recognize, or b) you have a character from Western media that you don't want Nick to recognize. My default setting is "if I've heard of it, Nick probably has too and will flail accordingly, but will also try very hard not to fourth-wall people."

THREE IMPORTANT POINT type ... things.

1) I am doing a semi-reset of Nick's camp memories! Basically, if I can't remember it without having to search Gmail for it, neither does he. I am super-sorry to anyone he ends up forgetting that way. It's not that I didn't enjoy RPing with you / the relationship / etc.! It's just that my memory is shot, and this way I can focus on the playing rather than having to search for stuff every five seconds.

2) Nick is from a slightly different spot in the timeline than what I implied in his app. Rather than being from directly after the end of the third game, he's actually from just after his case against Klavier, from the fourth game flashbacks. AKA he's just recently been disbarred and met Trucy, but he hasn't adopted her as his daughter yet. It's been about a week since the disbarring, so he's gonna be a little unkempt when he first gets to camp. Also, no badge. [/spoilers] I'll pin it down a little more specifically once I finish playing through that case again. :|d He also remembers vague bits from the end of GS4 due to his camp-induced age-up. They're not clear memories, but they do exist. Sooo basically he's going to have some hilarious timeline issues. :Dd

3) I have not yet finished AA:I! I'm very very close to finishing it, but I haven't gotten to the final reveals yet. I will try to rectify this quickly, but until then I'd be very happy if we could avoid discussing the details of that case.
